II need some help. I am trying to come up with a logo that could be used on the blog and other stuff (t-shirts). I am trying to come up with something that incorporates Plato and groove with the poetry and music and feel of the work. I am open to ideas that may incorporate any part of what follows or something totally different.
What if I put the scroll on the bottom with the hat and music notes somewhere? Be creative as you want. I do words. Any help would help. Thank you. Be Groovy! 🙂
Calen says. Put the hat on the P. I like that.
Fim suggested this.
I like that. Probably erase the notes in the letters and fix the transparent hat. I was thinking maybe a tagline with the feather and script saying something like “listening for the music of the Soul” or “the clock ticks . . .tick . . . tick . . . tick” or something.
I like the first one, but I feel something is missing. I can’t quite put my finger on it…
Thank you.
I’m digging the hat over the clean fonts, I like minimalist. Maybe underline ‘Groove’ or backdrop music notes, or something. My two cents. 🙂
Thank you. I love your art so your opinion is most valued my friend.
I think I like the last one the most too. The music notes just add that bit of flare. Another suggestion would be the same thing, but instead of music notes have a saxophone leaning on one of the sides. Yeah man. Saxophone.
definitely the hat, and no feathers, no acropolis, no mausoleums… the first one is you, really, and it doesn’t need more… actually just the hat would do… it’s you… and you don’t need a lot of firlefanz. you are cool and groovy and minimalist… in my eyes.
I hate when a lady alludes to me being minimal 🙂
Sir you did not read properly… nobody alluded you being “minimal”, I said that I do not see you as a man with feathers and notes and pomp and pimped and this and that and the other… minimalist to me means focussed on what matters… well, maybe I’m wrong. Shit happens. 🙂
too bad…
🙂
I agree that less is more sometimes. I value your opinion
you did not read properly, I did not allude to you being minimal… I said I do not see you with feathers, notes, pomp and pimped… in my book “minimalist” means somebody who is able to focus on what matters… but maybe I’m wrong, it’s not my language… shit happens. 🙂
I knew what you meant. 🙂 I was just playing. Thank you for playing with me.
I was joking across the ocean and languages.
ja ja ja…..
it worked, your joke made me laugh… 🙂
Good. I did not want to misspeak. I am still thinking about your other post about the expansion and contraction (no pun intended this time) 🙂
you don’t cease to amaze me… you think about that post… I trashed it because I did not understand my own post… maybe you did?!
I wondered where it went. I don’t know that I understood but it caught my attention. I felt it more than understood. Like a poem.
hahaha, no pun intended this time, hahaha… ahahahahahahahaha…
ok. I restored it… really don’t understand what I wrote… glad it caught your attention… yes, possibly it’s more a feeling than something that has to be understood…
I would be interested in what it becomes for you. It felt intimate
I’m partial to the first and last with the hat with or without the music. Both look good.
I’m thinking some version of the hat with the music. We did some cool stuff this afternoon. Dont know what it will sound like in the mix but it was fun.
I like the hat, and have a thought… if you can hang on bit.
I like the first one (the words with the hat)
What if you replaced the L in Plato with the feather pen. Then replace the S at the end of Plato’s with the music symbol. That would incorporate all three:
– pen for poetry
– music sympol for music
– hat for groovy
A fourth element to also consider is that a logo needs to be easy to read and understand. You’ve got 30 seconds to capture your target audience or else you’ve lost a potential client/customer.
The first logo has already accomplished that. Tweak it however you like or come up with something entirely different but keep those thoughts in mind.
Thank you very much. I will have the artist lady look at all these comments
You’re welcome. Good luck 🙂
I vote for the first one…I think it’s more you!
You could change the hat to be slightly more black than grey:)
Try different fonts as well!
But overall I think the the first one it’s the best representation of your brand:)
Good luck!
I think I am leaning that way. Fim did a modification with musical staffs behind it. I like it better. Maybe put a little catch phrase under. Thank you for your help with this. My brain does not work that way. – Teal
I like the first one but not with the hat. Needs more of an earthy, hippie feel. Just being honest – hope that helps you, Groovy Man!
I agree about the feel. I’m not invested in any of them. Thank you for playing.
You’re welcome. I’m sure you’ll get it right. Don’t do pot leaves though – too overdone! 🙂
🙂 no won’t do pot leaves. Not the kind of groovy I’m looking for.
lol That’s good!
I like the hat best, I think, but I really like the feather too…and then there is the treble clef. Helpful? Haha! Sorry.
I’m not very good at design I’m afraid.
I had a flash of a thought about the logo. What about something that looks like a thinker – Plato, Socrates, etc. Just a thought anyway.
Very good.
I love number 1! I think it personifies you and your style very well. Maybe try and make one of the letters into a musical symbol/note?
Thank you.
How about the second one from the bottom you have the hat flipped around and set it on the loop on the P…
I like the hat. I wear one like it when we do the music with old jeans and a nice jacket.
I sent you a rough paste up to your email.
#1 just add at the top: Experience the Jazz
Plato’s Groove
I suggest you have a look at https://www.fiverr.com they have graphic designers who do one off jobs like this for $5 !!!

Oops # 1, I really like #1amd #3
I vote for #2
I like the feel of it best too just seems unfinished to me. Not groovy enough and no music.
