He ain’t scared! 🙂
I want to write something just because I can
I feel cocky and the wilder parts of me have been stirred up
I don’t wait for permission
Or some other’s indulgence
I am
I write for me because I wish it, cause I’m alive
I beat my chest and growl, I roar
I am present on the savannah
Hear me, feel me, wonder what I will do
I am
I feel my heart’s beating, my blood rushing
I fill my lungs with the fragrant life surrounding me
Feet solid, gaze unblinking, alert, unafraid
I walk as one with authority, the earth trembles beneath my steps
I am
And so are You
Roar for the joy of it
Run, jump, laugh, do your dance in spite of circumstance
All that is wrong is the belief that something is wrong . . . with you
Be Groovy! 🙂
LOL I LOVED it! It is SO good to hear that coming from you. You told me once some people back there think you’re cocky, and I wondered if you try to cover that part of you up. You need a little of that attittude, boyo. Actually this poem isn’t about being cocky at all. It’s about owning who we are. It was terrific and I loved the reading! (Besides, look at that face. He’s all bluff! :D)
You make me smile. 🙂 And strut a little.
Like a beautiful peacock 😉
You are most kind to me. Thank you.
You’re very welcome 🙂
And the cheetah sends out it’s growl, listening to it echo, bouncing off mountains, and watching it dive back down, bats it away. Because it can.
BEAUTIFUL. I loved it. I feel it. I AM!
And the picture. oh my gosh… I want to hug it!!!
But seriously, a very compelling, live by words type of reading.
🙂 Hey buddy! I know you can growl woman! I looked at grown lion pictures but it made me laugh at myself. A little too serious. The little guy has the same heart and is a good reminder for my ego. 🙂
